1987 Toyota MR2

About to graduate, and convinced I could afford modest car payments, I went out and splurged on this little rocket. The inside was like being in the cockpit of an airplane... not for the clostrophobic, but it had plenty of headroom for my 6-foot frame. I managed to stuff it with enough gear and food to go camping for 3 days with a friend. On one trip to Los Angeles, I pushed it momentarily to 122mph going down, and coming back got 37mpg (cruise control at 60mph). Since my first real job out of college started at $16.8K a year, I decided it was not in my budget to keep it.
